Veterinarian
I graduated from Kansas State University in 2004. I owned a mobile veterinary service for 17 years in Ellinwood, KS, and the Topeka area before buying the office in Topeka. My husband Ryan and I have 3 adult children and 4 large crazy dogs, Hazel, Kalious, Nova, and Sherman.
Office Manager
I have been working with Dr. Mountain since she took over the clinic and I was with Dr. Post for over a year before he retired. This has by far been my favorite job I’ve ever had. In my free time I love to cook, relax at home, and hang out with my pets. I have three dogs, Lylah Elaine, (Pit Mix) Wayne Randall, (Shiba Inu), and Miss Regina Pickles, (Chihuahua). I also have a cat named Leroy and a lizard named Scorch.
Veterinarian
Dr. Jett Eder is our traveling veterinarian who enjoys being part of the team at Mountain Veterinary Clinic. He is a 2015 graduate from Kansas State University and brings 8 years of experience in both small and mixed animal practice. Dr. Eder values thorough, high-quality medicine to optimize the health and well-being of all of his patients. His clinical experience and interests include dermatology, small animal pain management, canine theriogenology, and soft tissue surgery. In his free time, Dr. Jett enjoys being on the great lakes and rivers that North East Kansas and Missouri have to offer with his paddle board. He also loves spending time with “Jaxson Brown,” his rescued American Bulldog / Boxer mix, going on adventure walks through new parks. Dr. Eder also co-owns Eder Showpigs, a show pig operation in Nortonville, KS, that he manages with his business partner.
Receptionist
I grew up in N Lee Summit, Missouri, and have lived in Topeka for one and a half years. Before working at Mountain Veterinarian I have been teaching yoga for 20 years. I have four children and two granddaughters with another on the way. My husband and I have one dog named Neeko. He is a 9 lb Pomeranian and he is our world.
Veterinary Assistant
I am married and have 5 kids (3 adults and 2 teenagers). I also have 3 rescue dogs! I’ve been here since opening day and can honestly say it’s the best group of people and the best environment to work in.
Veterinary Assistant
I am currently working on my veterinary technician degree. I believe that what we do is important. I try to treat everyone's pet as if they were my own because pets are family too!
Veterinary Assistant
The Mountains' have been lucky enough to have me working with them since opening the clinic in 2022. I have worked in animal health for 6 years and before that human healthcare for 13 years. Caring for things has always been a passion of mine. I have a busy household consisting of 2 dogs, 3 cats, and a rabbit.
Receptionist
I have been working with animals for 6 years and I have had pets my whole life. I can’t imagine lifting my career off anywhere else. In my free time I enjoy reading and listening to music. My very good friends are Miss Regina Pickles and Sherman Mountain.
Office Guardian
Most people call me Pickles or Pickelee. I am 1 year old and my mom brings me to the clinic everyday. I love snuggles, I accept any and all treats, I do not like most other dogs, and I hate mornings. My job is to guard the office from other dogs and snatch any morsels of food that might fall on the floor. My longtime boyfriend is Sherman Mountain.
Office Mascot
My mom is Dr. Mountain and I have come to the office almost everyday since I was born. I love to sit on anyone and, if I need attention, I will bump you with my nose. My worst trait is I drool. A lot! I love all the animals that come into the office and enjoy visiting patients that are recovering from surgery to help them feel better. My longtime girlfriend is Miss Regina Pickles. She pretends to not like me, but you can find us snuggling together most afternoons on my large bed.
